Hey all, it’s been awhile hasn’t it?
As you might be able to tell, I’ve been working on combining a couple of my other writing topics into one page. I had them on separate websites and it was just getting to be a headache.
Some folks told me “Hey Joe, don’t write about software and fitness on the same page, it will confuse people!” But honestly I don’t buy it and I’m a little fed up with blindly following people’s advice. If you don’t care about software, don’t click those links! ;) Duh, right?
I recently hit a weight loss goals I’ve been aiming at for almost A DECADE! 185 pounds. I haven’t been this light since early college when I was depressed about my first crush…
One of the main reasons I have been moving so linearly towards my goals is because of the specific way in which I create and use goals.
In my experience, for goals to actually be useful, you need to:
- WRITE THEM DOWN
- REVIEW THEM SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK OR MORE
- MAKE THEM SPECIFIC, CONCRETE, AND JUST WITHIN REACH
By doing this, your vision for yourself will be forever permeating your mind, allowing you to stay in check when you have the chance to screw things up.
You can’t forget your goals, they must guide your every action!
